Blessed Ostara, everyone! On the day the light and the dark stand in balance and the year turns toward growth, we are very happy to say that the CEC Forums are back up, open and alive again.
Many of you will remember that the boards went quiet a few years ago. Life, a pandemic, Zoom circles and a long run of software updates that kept breaking things all took their toll, and in the end the forum simply sat there - still readable, but with nobody tending the fire. A good number of you wrote to us over the years asking what had happened to it, and whether it would ever come back. It has.
What has changed
The old discussions are all still here. Every introduction on the Welcome Mat, every circle announcement and every Sabbat greeting has been kept, so you can wander back through the threads and remember the people and the circles that made this community what it is. We have tidied up the site, removed the parts that no longer worked and made the pages lighter and quicker to load on a phone.
We have also added two new sections that many of you asked for:
- Relationships - for talking about partners, handfasting, family, friendship and what it means to walk the path alongside the people we love (and sometimes the people who don't quite understand us).
- Off-Topic - the hearth-side corner for books, gardens, recipes, familiars and anything else that doesn't fit anywhere else.
Posting without an account
To make it easier for old friends and new seekers to join in, guest posting is switched on for most sections. You can post under any name you like, or simply as Anonymous - we know that for many people, being open about their spirituality is still not easy, and nobody here will ever push you to share more than you want to. The Announcements board remains read only.
A few gentle reminders
The same spirit applies as always: be kind, be patient with newcomers, respect that there are many paths and many ways of walking them, and harm none - that includes in a forum thread. Posts that are rude, hateful or nothing but advertising will be removed.
If you are new, please stop by the Welcome Mat and tell us a little about yourself. If you have ideas for how the forum could be better, the Suggestion Box is open and we do read it. And if you need a refresher on how the boards work, our old Forum Help article still applies.
The circle is open, but unbroken. Merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again.
